Personal vs organization workspace
Side-by-side guide to what AskPhi shows when you're alone vs when you're in an organization.
AskPhi works just fine for solo users, but a few things move around once you join an organization.
Quick comparison
| Where you look | Personal mode | Organization mode |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar — top | No org link. | Coloured Organization link with the org name. |
| Sidebar — Settings button | Goes to Profile → Organization tab. | Same. |
| Profile → Organization tab | "Create organization" form. | Org card + role + buttons to Open management and Organization settings (if you have permission). |
| Profile header button | View my analytics shortcut. | Hidden (analytics live in the management area). |
Management area /manage | Personal analytics only (storage, tokens). | Personal analytics and org analytics, members, settings (depending on role). |
| Files / sessions visibility | Yours alone. | Visible to the organization per its rules. |
Personal mode signals
You're in personal mode if all of these are true:
- The sidebar does not show the coloured Organization link.
- Your profile's Organization tab shows a Create organization form.
- Your profile header has a View my analytics button.
Organization mode signals
You're in organization mode if any of these are true:
- The sidebar shows a coloured Organization link with a name.
- Your profile's Organization tab shows the org name and your role.
- The management area at
/manageopens a dashboard.
Switching between modes
- Personal → Organization — accept an invitation (Accept an invitation) or create an organization.
- Organization → Personal — ask an admin to remove you from the organization (see Manage members).
Tips
- The features you can use don't change between the two modes — chat, files, AI replies, and graphs work the same way.
- The biggest impact of organization mode is collaboration and role-based features. If you're a member-level user, you'll mostly notice that the Organization sidebar link appears.
