Personal vs organization workspace

Side-by-side guide to what AskPhi shows when you're alone vs when you're in an organization.

AskPhi works just fine for solo users, but a few things move around once you join an organization.

Personal mode signals

You're in personal mode if all of these are true:

  • The sidebar does not show the coloured Organization link.
  • Your profile's Organization tab shows a Create organization form.
  • Your profile header has a View my analytics button.

Organization mode signals

You're in organization mode if any of these are true:

  • The sidebar shows a coloured Organization link with a name.
  • Your profile's Organization tab shows the org name and your role.
  • The management area at /manage opens a dashboard.

Switching between modes


Tips

  • The features you can use don't change between the two modes — chat, files, AI replies, and graphs work the same way.
  • The biggest impact of organization mode is collaboration and role-based features. If you're a member-level user, you'll mostly notice that the Organization sidebar link appears.
