Accept an invitation

Open an invitation link and join an organization.

When an admin invites you to an AskPhi organization, you'll receive an email with a link of the form:

https://app.askphi.com/invitations/<token>

Opening this link in your browser takes you to the Organization invitation screen.

Before you start​

  • A signed-in AskPhi account using the same email address that was invited. If you haven't registered yet, use the same email when you create your account.

What you'll see​

The invitation screen shows:

  • The organization name, slug, and description.
  • The person who invited you, with a clickable email.
  • Your role if you accept (e.g. member, admin).
  • The expiry date and time.
  • A status chip — Pending, Expired, Accepted, or Declined.

Accept the invitation​

  1. Read the details. Confirm the organization is the one you expect.
  2. Click Accept invitation.
  3. A toast says "You joined the organization." and AskPhi takes you to the chat home.

You're now a member with the role shown on the invitation.

Decline the invitation​

  1. Click Decline.
  2. A toast confirms "Invitation declined." and AskPhi takes you back to the chat home.

You can ask the inviter to send a new invitation later if you change your mind.

Troubleshooting​

  • "Invalid invitation link" — the link is missing the token or malformed. Ask the inviter to resend the email.
  • "Could not load invitation details." — the token may be wrong or no longer valid on the server. Ask the inviter to resend.
  • "You can't respond to this invitation in its current state." — the invitation has already been accepted, declined, or it expired.
  • You are already a member — accept it anyway and AskPhi will simply send you to the chat home.
