Start a chat session

Pick a file and create a new chat session to ask AskPhi questions about it.

Before you start​

Steps​

  1. Open the Chat home (click the AskPhi logo in the sidebar header, or + New Chat).
  2. In the Data Sources card, click the file you want to ask questions about. The row turns purple to confirm it's selected.
  3. The right side of the screen turns into a Create Session form.
  4. Fill in:
    • Session Title — a short name like Sales review or Customer churn.
    • Session Description — optional. Useful when you have many similar sessions.
  5. Click Create Session.
  6. AskPhi opens the chat at /chat/<session_id>.

Pick a different file​

If you change your mind:

  1. Click the × on the selected file's row, or click the row again to deselect it.
  2. Choose another file. The Create Session form re-binds to the newly selected file.

Where do new sessions show up?​

Right after creation, your session appears in the Chat History in the left sidebar under Today.
